2nd Annual Goddess Festival!

Katya, Ona and I had a great time last year at the Goddess Festival in Fayetteville, AR, and will be returning this year!

March 27th.  2010.  Katya will be doing a workshop on the journey of bellydance as it traveled from the middle East to Claifornia.  I will be holding a workshop on the dance of the Gypsies and Gypsy Fusion Bellydance.  Ona will be holding a workshop on dancing with veil.

 

About the Workshop: 'Nomad's dance' Led by Luna Zahra

In this workshop we will explore the dance of the Gypsies as they traveled across Europe. Workshop participants will learn an Eastern European Gypsy dance as well as Gypsy Fusion Bellydance. You will be provided with information on Gypsy culture as well as a handout of the moves you will learn. space is limited to 30. Cost is only $10. Workshop will last 2 hours.

 

 About the Workshop: Grace of the Veil

Workshop participants will learn how to use the veil in all basic bellydance moves. This workshop will focus on the graceful movements achieved with the use of this, the most enigmatic and theatrical of dance props. You will go home with a further knowledge and comfort with the veil as well as handouts of all the moves you have learned. Workshop will last 2 hours. Cost is only $10. Space is limited to 30

 

About the Workshop: 'the Journey of Bellydance' Led by Katya Zvezda

This workshop will explore the journey of Middle Eastern dance as it traveled and changed from Egypt to Califormia. Workshop participants will learn a lot about the different forms of bellydance across the middle East and U.S. Workshop will last 2 hours and costs only $10. Space is limited to 30

We will be doing a FREE performance that evening as well. This performance will include all our various favorite forms of bellydance, from classical cabaret to American Tribal to various fusions and many ethnic folk dances from eastern Europe and the Middle East. (Free admission, tips accepted happily!)
